When I sign up for UKCAT do I already have to know which unis I'll be applying to? Or can I just take the exam and then decide which unis I'll be sending by personal statements to?

You decide after (and the ukcat can be pretty influential in that decision). After the ucas deadline Pearson vue sends everyone's scores to Ucas

You should be taking the UKCAT before you pick schools. That way you can tailor your application depending on its strong and weak points.

Maybe it isn't like that because they know 50%+ of those who do it will get crappy scores and will therefore not go on to apply to BMAT med schools... Just a thought!
