    Hi everyone,

Do employers care what uni you went to as long as you have an degree in relevant subject for the job for example you went to Coventry... or will they care and prefer if you want to a Russell group like Newcastle...

It depends on the sector, but you won't find very many employers favouring Coventry graduates over Newcastle graduates, but quite a lot of employers will favour Newcastle graduates over Coventry graduates. For this reason, it's a very good idea to go to the best uni you can.

However, university reputation isn't everything. Employers do care about grades, subject and relevant work experience too, and these could swing the balance in favour of the Coventry graduate.
If you won £30,000, which of these would you spend it on?
