Where do you make friends ?? Advice please ?

Well the problem is at school I had the best friends ever no seriously we were so close and it was a good group. Unfortunatly I had to go to college due to the fact that my school didnt do the course I wanted. At college some people from school were in my course and we got on really well. I still missed my friends from school tho, I kept texting them to ask them if we should meet up but they say they will try but it never happens. Its sad because we were really close and now it like they dont even care. What really got me was I was with them and they were talking about meeting up without me ? But I was there the least they could have said was would you like to come ?

Now my college friends who we were close with didnt go to uni and now there working we talk on the phone but its hard to meet up and we rarely do. Now the only people I hang with are uni, but not so much outside uni, im making a bit of effort outside uni and its going ok, ie texting here and there.

But its like everyone has moved on and its hard, I miss the old times and uni isnt that great in terms of socialising, just a bit ( I commute). But after uni who would you make friends with since everyone moves on ? Work mates do u actually make decent friends at work ?

With work, it depends on who works there, you may make some close friends. Other ways to make friends, perhaps join some kind of class if you have a hobby such as art or something like that. Or maybe an exercise/dance class. Or maybe volunteer and meet new friends that way.

You're welcome.

Another way, if you like gaming. Perhaps online gaming.

Then, with respect, what's your problem? If you are outgoing you can surely make friends. All I can say is be proactive, as the only person who goes to my college within about 30 miles I struggle to meet up with people - on order to 'go out' with mates I need to get three buses, a train or a taxi. It's mad, but you need to ask people if they want to do things, therefore automatically including yourself. Once people see you're no less a person now, you'll be fine, I swear by it.

You don't need friends. Leave them behind and never look back, you're better off without them.

Why ? Surely we all need a nice group of friends to spend time with ? Or are you just saying my friends are "bad" because they moved on ?
