Well that's stupid. Pizza was made to be eaten with hands, it's how it is.
Don't complain to me - I'm sure the lovely people at Pizza Express would only be happy to hear your opinions.

Lol, yes it is! Their pizzas keep getting smaller and their prices keep going up! It's not very fair, although I have to admit I've jumped ship to Ask (they do a really nice banoffee pie).

Well in reply to many ppl's post's:

1. I was not drinking alcohol - i was with my rents so not really supposed to get drunk.
2. Pizza Express is over-priced but then everything is real italian - even the coke!!! Plus, it's nearer us than Pizza-Hut etc.
3. We were going to ASK! (v.nice there) but they had over a 1hour wait, so popped into Pizza Express which is v.v.close by!
4. I thought that maybe Pizza Express was too classy for hands - never think twice about it at Pizza Hut etc. Oh well, Waitresses didnt give me any dodgy looks and no1 else did either! I was eating it very carefully and it wasnt too thin and floppy, so didnt get in a mess!

General rule for me - "Italian" pizza = knife and fork; "American" pizza = hands

Lol, you noticed to hey! i remember when they used to be massive!

And, to all you simpletons, in Surrey, we use knife and fork. (unless slouching infront of the football with a beer in the other hand where it is more efficient to use a dainty hand.)

I was out for meal tonight at Pizza Express and was sturggling to cut my pizza into small pieces, so I cut it into slices and ate it with my fingers. No-one gave me any weird looks but everyone else in the restaurant was using their knife and fork!

Do you think it's ok to eat Pizza with your fingers when you're out?! I wasnt like getting in a mess with it and was eating it daintly! lol
eating pizza with knife and fork? whats the point then...if you want to eat a formal meal - you dont eat pizza in the first place ...

Simple: I eat with a knife and fork so I can eat my pizza in style; its impossible to eat pizza manually without looking daft. I also don't want to get my hands and face covered in all kinds of crap!
i think it tastes so much better using your hands! It is an italian food - and why incorporate it into an English way of eating

How on earth can it taste any different?

I want to eat it in the 'English way' because I'm English and I'm in England.
But don't most people in England eat Pizza with their hands anyway?

In an italian restaurant they'd expect you to eat pizza with your hands.
