ive been dating this girl ive known for ages for about a month
i recently met her friends just me and them and i felt rele awkward
i wasnt sure what to say or anything and got the feeling they arent fond of me

anybody have any advice for me?

Did your girlfriend not come with you to introduce her to her mates?

Sometimes its the fact we feel we 'need' to get on with someone, such as your girlfriends mates, that makes it so hard to get on with them. Added pressure or something. I guess just be yourself :smile:

Good gem i agree with you there, plus im sure they dont think badly of you its more because they dont know much abot you if you didnt know what to say but youll be fine after you met them a few times.

Just chat to them, show an interest in them, and dont be too couply with your girlfriend around them

Good advice. That would make things more awkward for everyone.

Why don't you all go out for a meal? Then you'll be forced to chat. I rarely meet people I can't chat to and the awkwardness goes after a few minutes, especially if you're forced to sit around a table together.

lol my girl friends fat girl mate was trying on a prom dress, my girlfriend said she wanted to get the same one, all i said was...."it'll have to be a few sizes smaller", got my ass kicked to the curb lol
