What qualifications do unis in the UK take in consideration?

Hi everybody I am an international student and I plan to come to study in the UK.
I would like to take 3-4 igcse but I was wondering if they really would be useful university-wise
Are any other qualifications unis take in consideration?

PS I ll be taking my final exams in two years' time and the IELTS next summer

What country do you come from, and what qualifications are you taking in your home country?

You'll have to check for each university - sometimes the info will be on their website, but sometimes you'll have to email them, but an Italian high school diploma should be fine - you don't need to take IGCSEs in addition. It's best to concentrate on getting good grades in your HS diploma, rather than worrying about IGCSEs.

For instance, this is what Edinburgh says http://www.ed.ac.uk/studying/international/country/europe-russia/italy/qualifications
Similarly Bristol - http://www.bristol.ac.uk/international/countries/italy.html
