It is a different system for Euro elections. Each party has a list of candidates in order of priority - lets say 30 for example. According to the number of votes they get they get allocated a number of seats - lets say 20 in this case. The top 20 on their list get the seats. It is a form of proportional representation.

VOTE UKIP !

1) you go to your voting place
2) you tell them your name they give you a voting ballot
3) you put a cross in the box next to ukip
4) fold the ballot and give it to them
5) you leave
