Anyone studying CCEA A-Level Biology?

We started practical work in the course and my teacher gave me past papers on respiratory quotients. I can't find respiratory quotients on the AS specification but they are on the A2. Do I have to learn them? Anyone else here in the same position? Was just thinking what's the point learning them if they're not on the specification lol

Hey, yep RQ is mentioned in the A2 spec. You have to know how to do simple calculations using the equation:
RQ = CO2 produced / O2 consumed

My teacher also told me to learn the RQ of carbohydrate, lipids and protien but I've only seen simple questions in the past papers so yh I would learn it if I was you! :smile:
