Eurgh! A Girly Question! Internal Examinations

Ok i'm sorry in advance if this is disturbing to anyone reading it.

For the past 2 month i've been having too periods, one the Proper due period and the second what the doctor called a break through bleed. After visiting today to see if it was because the pill didnt agree with me anymore (have lost 3/4 stone and wondered if this could affect it.) I'v been with my boyfriend for over a year and neither of us have been STD check and he has had previous long term relationships, thus the doctor suggested i have the internal examination as the brek-through bleeding could be Chlamidia :frown:

He took a swab and told me i have to tinkle into a jar in the morning. I am so scared i never considered anything like that when i went to the doctors originally and have Always taken extra precautions. I feel so violated and embarrassed :redface:

Has anyone else been through this?? Any information would be greatly appreciated if only to calm my nerves or provide insight! Thankyou!

hmm, i had something slightly similar, the docs thought i had PCOS, so i had to have an internal camera - so its slightly diff! but it was very embarasing, i had to lay on a table whilst a ranom dude stuck a camera up my vagina! but at the end of the day, theyre docs, they see it everyday... and its beter to check it out than be sory in the end! dont wory! chil out about it... im sure all wil be fine :smile:

OP: have you had a smear before? because what you went through sounds very much like a smear test would be. Ive had a smear test, and sound increably uncomfortable and degrading. Wish they could take blood instead of looking at your lady garden.
