Im just speaking as a local, not a student.

The brighton night life is very good and alot of the places are close together some of the big ones are Creation and The Event, but couldnt tell where they are in relation to halls.

Nightlife is quite heavy in Brighton, but not all that varied, unless you're a vegetarian. There's a large number of dance/trance venues, and, of course, gay pubs and clubs.

You've got plenty of pubs, plenty of clubs (from Jazz/Funk through Drum & Bass, Indie Rock, and R&B to Charts stuff), great theatre and comedy (Dome and Komedia), gigs (Brighton Centre, Pressure Point, Event 2), and that's barely even scratching the surface.

I live near to brighton and the nightlife is very good. Its always very busy, although that means long queues to the most popular clubs such as creation and Event 2 and they are opposite to each other. There is something for everyone so your bound to have great nites out, although i dont know how far from the halls I dont think its 2 far.
Have fun!!

Distance between halls and the main city depends on which university we're talking about, either Sussex or Brighton.
I'm at brighton uni, and although i don't go for that sort of thing so much, the nightlife in brighton is great, whatever your tastes, and whichever uni or campus you are at, the 25 bus goes straight through, from the falmer campus at brighton, and sussex uni, past the mouscombe campus for brighton uni, to the town, so its easy to get around.

If you want nightlife then you're in the right place in Brighton

What are you in to?? There's loads of great pubs (although they are quite expensive if you're not used to london prices)

For dance music i'd say that there's loads of funky house and drum & bass nights. Tons of chart type nights and indie gigs

If you cant find what you're looking for then go to London in 50 minutes on the train

I'm already living in private accom in Brighton...i start at Sussex in September

Hope that helps:smile:
