NHS Bursary and Student FinanceWatch
She has been told that she needs to apply for a NHS bursary. After applying for this, does she also need to apply for student finance?
Also, on a NHS bursary calculator it asked for how many weeks she will be in attendance. What does this mean? I can't find anything on the course overview but it had to be between 24 and 52 weeks.
Edit: One other thing... If we have to apply for both the NHS Bursary and Student Finance, which order do we apply in?
1) Yes apply for student finance too because she would be entitled to a non means tested reduced amount of re payable loan in addition to any bursary she receives.
2) Likely to be towards the higher amount of weeks, nursing students tend to have minimal holidays but the easiest way to find out would be to call the nursing admissions office of the uni as they will tell you what to put.
3) As far as I can recall it shouldn't make any difference what order you apply in, they are provided by completely separate financial companies.
