Opal Fruits ruled!

I hate the way companies change UK brand names to 'fit in' with the international name.

Jif to Cif was a terrible move.
How true! I'll never call it Cif, it just isn't right.
Why can't be proud of out slightly bizarre names?

Do you remember when Coco Pops were changed to Choco Krispies, to be more politically correct?!

Luckily, Kelloggs realised that this was a bad move and swiftly reverted back. That's more like it.

Now there's a failed attempt at change.
But why is that more PC?
It didn't fit the song when they changed it: "We'd rather have a bowl of Choco-krispies" just ain't happening.

Kelloggs improved the Coco Pops formula so that it included real chocolate instead of cocoa, and they were more crackly and crispy instead of 'poppy'.

I remember the comics on the back of the Coco Pops boxes that had Coco Monkey and co. talking about the new recipie and proposed name change.

*sings*
Does your chewing gum lose its flavour on the bedpost overnight?
If your mother says don't chew it do you swallow it in spite?
Can you catch it on your tonsils,
Can you heave it left and right?
Does your chewing gum lose its flavour on the bedpost overnight?

How many packets did you buy?! And how long did it take to fill the bag?

I remember when a pack of gum cost 18 pence; now it's 32 p.

...... and how old are you that it was 18 p????

Just have a spoonful of sugar when the flavour is gone and it will return, or so i'm told.

Nah, doesn't work, I've tried it.
Just makes it sweet again, doesn't bring back the minty goodness.

Sorry to go against the majority but chewing gum is vile vile vile. Reasons being...
* People chewing-unattractive!
* It is very untidy when not disposed of properly. Prime examle of this-sometimes plebs think it is a good idea to stick it under their desk. Due to the sticky nature of gum it sometimes attaches itself to ones clothing, most annoying.
At my school there is a ban on chewing gum, however, people do still chew. But they do get caught HA HA HA. And as a result cancer research -some teachers make the rule breakers put money in the charity collection- are doing quite well. So hurray for that. Down with gum!!!!
