so i've got my GCSE exams in like 2 weeks i've revised pretty much everything except english and history. I looked on amazon and CGP and York Notes didn't get very good reviews from actual students (most of the 5s were from parents who didnt actually read it) but the cliffsnotes books look quite good. However, I've been looking at the online free version and it barely has any quotes at all. Does the revision guide have enough quotes + explanations?

Firstly, your teachers should be providing you with enough material to get an A*, it's up to you what you do with it. Using Cliffs, York and Sparknotes solely will not get you high marks, so to answer your question, no they won't be enough.

Like the above user said, you can't rely on just notes just to get you a good grade.

I haven't used the CGP and York Notes revision guides so I can't say. But perhaps you could use SparkNotes and MrBruff to help you?

I'd make sure to know a summary of each chapter, the plot, themes and characters etc Analysis of these should be on SparkNotes as well as a summary

Then I'd pick out a few quotes for each theme, character etc and analyse them, so that when you do the exam, you won't have to waste time looking for those quotes.

And try out some exam questions, you can find some past papers on the exam board's website as well as examiner reports and the mark scheme.
