Cocky and funny?

Does this even work?

It's when guys act cocky but be funny at the same time to attract girls, you know tease them, bust on them etc. to give off the impression that they're confident and we all know girls don't want shy guys etc. Apparently it also makes guys interesting and make girls curious about these guys who seem confident, funny and cocky but not cocky to the point of insult lol!

confident is good, cocky or arrogant isn't

Oh sure i know confidence is a good thing, and i don't agree with this dating guru's advice (cos welll...wtf?!) but upon further thought, it does sound interesting.

I'm sure we've (especially guys) been at school or any social occassion and wondered why a guy (who is generally an absolute f***er) manages to get really quite attractive girlfriends etc. when they don't have a redeeming quality about them. But somehow they manage to still get the girl.

Kinda like the whole "nice guys finish last" and "nice guys can be too nice" whereas the "rebels" and "bad boys" get the girls. It's a massive generalisation and cliched stereotype, but i've seen this a lot.

And those "rebels" do seem to be confident and cocky sometimes. And also quite funny, in my experience (unfortunately funny).
Some people who are cocky/ arrogany generally have something to be cocky about e.g. top sportsman. Its the people who have nothing to be cocky about, but are, that really piss me off.

Well...ACCORDING to this guy, scenarios likes this is called busting on girls:

- being evasive but funny with girls. A girl asks you what you do as a living or something and you reply: I do stunt work. Have you ever seen it in a movie when a hot actor has to reveal his naked ass? That's my job." (you can tell this is all American:wink:)

-Guy is sitting on a chair. Girl can't find any other chairs and points to the spare seat next to guy.

Girl: Is this free?
Guy: (makes out like she's pointing at his lap) No you can't sit on my lap, how
about this seat?!

All in a funny fashion of course.

i reckon cocky to an extent is funny, i seemingly go for very confident manly guys.. which is a bit scary but yeah.
the bloke (haha bloke ¬¬) i like is pretty cocky, but hes never been cocky past the line if you get me, i think he's done it a few times and you have to sort of bring him down to reality but yeah, spose its 'attractive' to me.
Good looking guy makes cocky statement - Funny guy

Ah, but some men are more pissed off by other men who have things to be cocky about, because they're more confident than them and better at something. :p:

I don't think overconfidence is such a bad thing, as long as you don't take yourself too seriously. The only problem is that if you're overconfident around girls, all the shy guys will get really pissed off.

Says who? There's nothing wrong with being shy or quiet, quiet people are sometimes more interesting than the cocky people who make you laugh but don't really have anything else to say. I'd prefer to talk to someone who was quieter rather than someone who was overly cocky and full of one-liners.

Oh, don't get me wrong, there are girls who prefer shy guys. I was speaking generally rather than making specifics. The majority (actually in fact all) of my friends who are of the female race prefer confident guys.

Another person seduced by the online-marketing genius of Eben Pagan... :p:

Don't pay for anything he sells; it's all derived from first principles of relationship psychology - something that clever lady on Big Brother's Big Brain can tell you all about. Imagine yourself delivering the lines above - what would you do to avoid coming across as fraudulent in the loooooong bits of time when you had no canned material to act out? Note that his methods are ;poo when it comes to maintaining relationships.

Be more conscious and learn to think for yourself about marketing schemes before you allow yourself to unconditionally believe in them.
