you take the sample then take it to the GP as soon as possible.

My appointment's at the hospital rather than my GP tomorrow morning, so would it be best to take it then?
Yes, keep it as fresh as possible I would think.

refridgerating is also a good idea, it helps keep the sample fresh, if you need to take it a while before getting it tested.

I'd assume you'd have to give a sample when at the doctors, otherwise you could take someone elses sample instead of yours.

I mean theres nothing wrong with taking a sample, but you'd get some funny looks having a jar of wee in your hand. I'd also advise you to go to the doctors with a full tank, or maybe have a big glass of water before you go, because if you don't, urine trouble. ha ha

yeh i'd think u take the sample once ure there lol or else as foxy sed (lol i prefer that to The Fox lol) u could be using someoone elses
hmm, its also not good to take it right before you go. as i foudn at once, they told me i have diabetes then later when doing more tests realised it was just cos it was a fresh sample, plus the food i'd eaten.

absolutely hate them though. ive had to do 24 hour ones aswel-such a chore!!

They usually require a morning sample cos thats when the urine is most concentrated and it's easier to test.

the OP is trying to solve a medical problem...where would be the incentive in taking someone elses sample?

lol ive got to provide a urine sample for monday at the hospital for the reumatologist, but it will be embarasing carrying it around and in the car etc, so Im just gonna go and not eat any breakfast, and do it there at the hospital if they need it. I wont contaminate myself by having breakfast just incase lol.
