Although there is debate over the exact date it started, on November 02, 2000, a person calling themselves Timetravel_0, and later John Titor, started posting on a public forum that he was a time traveler from the year 2036.

One of the first things he did was post pictures of his time machine and its operations manual. As the weeks went by, more and more people began questioning him about why he was here, the physics of time travel and his thoughts about our time. He also posted on other forums including the old Art Bell site. In his posts John Titor entertained, angered, frightened and even belittled those who engaged him in conversation.

On March 24, 2001, John Titor told us he would be leaving our time and returning to 2036. After that, he was never heard from again. Speculation and investigation about who John Titor was and why he was online continues to this day.

Although it may be easy to dismiss all this as science fiction, most people who read his posts agree that there is something very haunting about John Titor and what he said. In addition, and open to more debate, he also made a series of predictions and comments that eerily seem to be coming true.

Unfortunately, I never spoke directly to John Titor but there are many out there who have and continue to wonder about their experience. As you get deeper into this site, you will find his posts, links to other sites about him, downloads and speculative information attributed to him after he left. I have taken the posts and organized them by date and subject. If humanity were to have time travel technology in 2036 (which opposes all current physics theory), living in the aftermath of a nuclear war (as predicted to happen by Titor in 2015), don't you think it'd be used more effectively than to send someone back and post on vague internet forums?

Instead, the controllers of the technology would use it to send someone back in time and subtly influence in some predetermined manner in order to avert nuclear way, surely?

Or perhaps, consider the instance whereby he was a disgruntled operative who decided to interact with our time in order to disrupt the time line in his time. Someone else would've been sent back to neutralise this risk (can't help but make a Terminator reference at this point).

Basically, I think he's a loon, and everything he said ought to be met with extreme scepticism.

I can't understand how technology could have advanced to such a stage to enable time-travel, after a nuclear holocaust and when, according to John Titor, most of the population are living an almost nomadic lifestyle.
The moral warnings he left are the most interesting though - I can really see that we are still following the path of destruction especially with the continuing troubles in the Middle East and the growing gap between the public and US and UK governments. Civil war in this day and age is a scary prospect!

Oh by the way, I heard earlier that 'John Titor' has come forward as being a fraud. It was a publicity stunt for a book which is soon to be published.

Seeing as the internet isn't always the most reliable source of news, it this hasn't yet reached all corners of the theorists who still very much believe in his legitimacy as a time traveller.

Oh well, it was nice whilst it lasted.
