Hi, Could someone explain me the chemistry behind the polyelectrolyte dependence on solution. In my case,NaOH was added to PAA polymer, which implies that the ionic concentration/strength increases. And eventually, the size of polymer increases.. I don't know how to explain this results in terms of shielding effects and electrostatic interactions.

Please, any help is greatly appreciated! You will save my life for tomorrow!
