er i wouldn't say you're starving yourself, depends on your lifestyle (whether you're an active person or do you sit around more).

as for how many calories i have a day, probably much less than the recommended intake but i don't try and count them, i just try to eat sensibly.

Well i'm not very active, but i don't want to end up putting on weight because my body will start to store the fat rather than burn it, if you get what i mean lol.
Too many.
Q: How many calories do you eat everyday?

A: Twice half the total.

I'd guess I eat about the same as you, but as I don;t count them it's had to tell. I just try and eat sensibly but I do exercise 2-3 time s a week to stay in shape

Pure interest really, i'm eating 1100-1300 a day when i should be having 2000.. but im not starving myself at all because i feel very content with what i eat, is this good or bad or what?

100
3300 everyday, bodybuilding bulking diet - I'm allowed

It's about what you eat rather than how many calories you consume, what stuff do you eat day to day?

Fruit and fibre in the morning with a glass of water.. Salad, or ham roll (brown bread).. And then maybe jacket potato and some chicken for tea.. And then maybe a cup of tea with some digestive biscuits. A few apples/grapes/bananas somewhere in there too

It totally depends on your weight and height etc to how much your RDA of calories is, 2000 is just a rough guidline.
Have a google on something like 'calculate reccomended cals' but even then its only an outline. I consume about the same cals as you, and i feel fine and full so...
If you think you eat enough to fill yourself up and feel good then sod the numbers.

if you feel content then that's fine, from what you say you're not totally starving yourself and the 'right' amount of calories depends on the individual anyway as people have said.

i have no idea how many i normally eat because i never count, but then my eating habits are awful anyway.. recently some days i'll be eating nothing until 6pm, not deliberately but just because i'll be doing stuff and forget, then other days i will eat loads all day! most of the time (i think) i'm a happy medium though and eat 3 straight meals with no snacks in between and a bit of fruit. i don't like calorie counting really, as long as it's balanced i don't really think it matters!

No idea. :eek3: Do people keep count!?
I really wouldn't have a clue.

As long as you don't go under 1200 it'll be fine.

I used to get by on 1000 a day, but couldnt last more than a couple of weeks, much better to just cut em out slowly if your planning on a diet.
Calories are SO BORING!!! :p:

I know... but counting calories can be v useful...

e.g. when cutting food in half, you'll be halving the calores you can have - so you can eat twice as much!
