Can resits cancel each other out?

Hello, for my English Literature A level (WJEC) I'm resitting a paper, LT1, for a third time. Though after receiving my mark for coursework I've discovered that I don't need to resit this paper in order to achieve the grade I want.
I was wondering as I've entered to sit the paper for the third time, have the result for the last two been scrapped, as I know this happens in GCSE and would I be in danger losing my grade for not sitting this paper?

Any replies would be appreciated,

Thanks

They'll always use the highest grade if that's what you're asking. It doesn't matter if you do worse (or get zero) the third time.
