you can get it more than once.
it would depend on each individual. have you been to your gp yet?
also when the spots come out youre no longer contagus (sp?) so its pretty much on its way out

I thought once you had it you had immunity, and if you got it again as an adult, it was shingles, not chicken pox.

Anyway, it's usually worse for adults, takes longer to recover. Can also affect fertility in males.

you can catch it more than once but its pretty rare (ive had it twice) its just not as bad the more you have it as you have a greater imune responce.
shingles is like chicken pox but its not the same diesease ( i think it might be a mutated form) and generaly the more exposure you have to chicken pox the less likely you are to catch shingles.

anybody else get it?

im 19 and ive just got it, i didnt realise i didnt get it when i was younger i just assumed i had, and i got it on my 1st day at an internship!!

how long it usually take to clear?

You very rarely get it more than once, and when you do it usually takes a slightly different form ( possibly a related virus that is slightly different ). It takes some time to clear and in the meantime you ought to make sure not to scract the rashes as they can leave scars rather easily. Since you got it at a rather old age ( I think I was 9 or so ) you probably ought to see your GP about it.
