My teacher is useless at explaining this, so I was wondering if someone here could help.. I'm going to write the English Lang-Lit exam this May, but I'm very confused with question 1(b) of the paper...
Examine how the writers:
• shape or craft each text to meet the expectations of their respective audience/purpose/context
• use aspects of spoken language in their texts.
So I assume I must analyse what the writer says or does to fit with the context, audience etc.
But going through MS and exemplar papers, there's always mention of relationships between the characters and the voice of the narrator in ways which don't link with the context/purpose/receiver...
What exactly should I do? Analyse the voice of the writer/characters or how voice is used to suit the CPR?
