Unpaid Placement Year- Type B placement?

Hi,

I'm on an unpaid placement for the next academic year, and I phoned SFW yesterday inquiring about my maintenance loan. I was told that there are two types of unpaid placement, type A and type B. Type B involves working in healthcare, welfare or with children under a local authority. Type B enables you to have a full means tested loan according to the advisor, I think type A is less but I can't remember the specifics?

My placement is in a Special School for children with developmental disorders, and Autism. It is a state school, so would this constitute a type B placement, as the Local Education Authority is Bridgend?

If so, I was told I'd need to provide evidence of this, what kind of evidence would this be? Could it be confirmation form my uni?

Thanks!
