I'm self conscious about my breasts

I'm 18 years old, and have 36D breasts. In a bra, they look quite nice, but out of one they're awful; they're quite "saggy", and the areola is large and only just darker than my natural skin colour. Although I've been intimate with people before, I've only once taken my bra off, and that was in the dark. I'm overweight at 5ft 4" and a dress size 14-16 (I don't know my weight), but I'm trying to address it. I do suffer with depression, but I'm on medication. Does the aesthetic look of the breast matter that much to men, or not? Any answers would be great :frown:

Yes big boobs are nice. I do not know what the requirements for the porn industry is but it is extremely high for world class individuals so I wouldn't get my hopes up. Having said that if you can lower your weight, each healthily, play sports and other normal things then you will be more appealing.

That's why I recommended not to get your hopes up, quite difficult. What are you doing to address this issue?

Your fine as you are if you come across confidence and happy ...any guy will be happy with you and guys like boobs no matter what shape size colour. .. so dont worry be cool your get plenty.
Make sure you're in the right bra size

Measure under your bust, and that should be your band size. Measure around your bust. Work out the difference. Each inch is a cup

Being in the right bra will help
She may be overweight but that can easily be addressed. She should not worry about the size or shape of her breasts though because all breasts are different and come in all shapes and sizes. Im sure they are fine, regardless of her weight.
You don't need to worry. For a start most men are not fussy, and the kind who you would want to be in a relationship with would not care about things like that. Its only the media that has created this idea that men are only after the perfect looking woman. I for one find women who aren't perfect supermodels very attractive. I'm sure your breasts would be very attractive to most men.

Maybe she is worried that the guy/girl she likes doesn't like big ones...

For starters you could start leading a healthy lifestyle and get in shape. That would probably have some positive effects on you.

Gonna be honest what you mentioned matters. That's just me though.

I'm currently trying to eat better (I can't eat fruit skins atm because I'm having a flare up of IBS due to stress), and I'm taking up swimming when I get free time after my AS exams. I'm overweight, but I don't think you would look at me and think "wow she's fat", but you would probably think I'm "cuddly", shall we say. The guy I like has already said he finds me attractive, but an irrational part of me doesn't believe him, and I'm worried that my breasts are a turn off.
My measurements are 37-33-40, if that gives any indication at all.

lol men don't tend to lie about stuff like that. Unless he's just saying that to make you feel better or something.

The latter part of your answer is the part that scares me.
aesthetics above everything

If he's already expressed that he wants a relationship then he's not lying. If he only said it as a response to you being insecure in general conversation then he might have said it to make you feel better.

e.g.
"I wish I wasn't so ugly :frown:"
'naah you look lovely'

I've learnt just to accept a compliment if it comes my way, rather than fight it. Honestly, your insight has been very good, so thank you.

I seem to get the impression that some people value aesthetics and some don't... I'll just have to hope that the men I'll like at some point aren't fussed about aesthetics ha...

Some ladies have nipples that naturally (when not erect) poke outwards quite a lot instead of being a flat circle, and other women's nipples sort of point inwards instead of outwards. Some have saggier breasts, and some fully grown women have breasts that are similar-looking to a 14 yr old's undeveloped breasts. Some people have moles or freckles on their chest. There are also lots of different general breast shapes. I looked all this up when I was younger because I was insecure too, and probably an awful lot of girls are insecure about it at some point or another.

I'm sure a lot of guys would find them really attractive  One guy made me feel insecure in my teens because he really liked large breasts, and I don't have those! I always felt a bit inadequate. But other guys have given them really nice compliments, which I was surprised about at first. Still I have assumptions about my breasts that I know are probably incorrect. I feel like it is only a significant other that would find my torso sexy because other men have choice and no emotional attachment, and in comparison to some women I'd just look either like a child, or like an anorexic (i'm not). But I am what I am and I am healthy and happy, so if there are people who would prevent themselves from getting to know me just because of what my body looks like, they are not the kind of people I want to know.

Reading this has been like an epiphany for me... Thank you x
