AQA French GCSE - How does the grading work?

Hi there.

I wanted to know how they calculate the overall grade for French GCSE. My controlled assessment is A, A and A* however the past papers I do usually result in a strong A*. Am I restricted to an A or can I still scrape an A*? (i.e. do I need to do really well on my exams).

Speaking and writing are 30% each, reading and listening are 20% each. I can't work it out exactly as it depends on the exact mark, but assuming mid-As and A*s on the coursework, you need (270-77-82) = 111 UMS across reading and listening, or mid A*s. It's definitely doable, just go and nail those exams on Monday!
