What do i need to know for the topic on restless earth... is it just volcanoes and earthquakes and how they happen and how volcanoes are formed? For the case studies i only have: mount st. helens - destructive composite cone volcano, the andes - fold mountains, indonesian earthquake and tsunami, kobe earthquake (medc) and sichuan earthquake (ledc)... is this enough or am i missing information (because i did miss some geography lesson:L )....?

You need to know
The different layers composing the earth

Differences between continental and oceanic plates

3 types of plate boundaries - which ones cause formation of volcanoes / earthquakes/ fold mountains (case study) and how.

Types of volcanoes - case study

Super volcanoes - impacts

Earthquakes - case study Medc/Ledc and how they are measured (richter and mercalli scale).

Hope this helps

OP, this is by no means a complete list. And you don't need a case study on the types of volcano.

What I meant was a case study of one volcanic eruption, it depends on what your school has taught you.

You need to know the impacts and responses at the least.
