Does Amazon dispatch at the weekend?

Hey Guys;

Well, I placed an order on Friday at around 4pm to get an email around half hour later saying "Preparing for dispatch".

This hasn't changed nearly 48 hours later so, do Amazon dispatch at the weekends?
My delivery is sold by Amazon and not another supplier operating through Amazon.

yes and as far as I am aware it also delivers on weekends

Amazon dispatch goods but deliveries are not handled by Amazon, but either by the Royal Mail or by couriers, and the Royal Mail only deliver on Saturdays for some services and never on Sundays, and no couriers will deliver on a Sunday either.

You don't shop with amazon often. They have their own couriers as well. And they deliver on Sunday.

...That being said weekend deliveries are for amazon prime members only.
