    Hi, I've accepted my offer to go and study a foundation degree in animal management and behaviour starting in September 2014 at Bishop Burton accommodation. I was just wondering if anyone else is going there this year so I know some people before I go????

    Hey, thanks
    And yh I have a couple of questions about accommodation;
    How many accommodation blocks are there for uni students?
    And how are the rooms given, like are they done in alphabetical order or first come first serve when you come to collect your key? Just wondering as me and my friend were hoping to get rooms close to eachother as we wont know many people :/

    There are two main buildings and then a couple of smaller ones, you definitely want to be in Newbald or Sledmere though!
    The rooms are allocated randomly and are also already assigned, so it's unlikely you'll be in a flat with your friend. But that's also a plus, it gives you time to get to know your flatmates. I'm so close to everyone i shared a flat with, we're even in a house together this year! On moving in day, just go sit in the kitchen and everyone will slowly appear in there, everyone is the same boat and nervous about not knowing anybody! I actually ended up in a flat with somebody i met on here! x

    hi I actually did the first year of the course but had a lot of problems and things going on last year so I've decided to have a fresh start, new people and a clean slate which is just what I need! It will be weird bumping into the second years though ha but my decision was for the best I think! I know my way around and usually the first year work is very similar each year so I will be able to help people out with certain stuff
