i currently work 10 hours a week my partner has an annual income of around £33000 i have been offered a place on a Pre-Access course which is level 2,although i did G.C.S.E's at school the highest grade i achieved was a D,I am 38 and want to progress on to the full Access course and then on to a Social Work Degree.Has anybody been through this if so how much was the course and would i be eligible for any sort of funding??

I am not so sure, but your partner's income sounds quite high to receive any significant amount of funding.

that was my thinking,but i'm getting conflicting info as i have been told that because i don't hold any gcse's at a c grade or above it might be free?? Here's hoping as although my partners wage is high we live to that with 4 children a mortgage and bills to pay so trying to pay for a course aswell i think maybe out of my reach:confused:

Don't really know if this is relevant but, http://www.west-cheshire.ac.uk/media...oan%20faqs.pdf looks interesting. It says it doesn't depend on your income.
