I am doing a BSc in Applied Pharmacology. I'm going into 4 year after summer so I need to start considering my options, but I don't know where to start?? Our lecturers kept telling us at the beginning of third year to start considering this!! But most people, including me were too stressed about exams and assignments to think about post graduation.... sooo now I'm a bit stuck....
I am interested in doing research so I want to go for a PhD... related to neurodegenerative disease.. or neuroscience in general. I find that quite interesting. But, it seems hard to get into though...any tips??...advice....?? Our lecturer said that we should apply for anything and everything that seems interesting. I'm won't mind doing a masters but I don't think I can afford it, most of the masters that look interesting are outside of Edinburgh in Glasgow Caledonian or Strathclyde.... and I want to try and stay in Edinburgh to avoid travelling so far.
I had a look at the requirements for PhD ...like what you have to send when applying etc. I'm going to start updating my CV and fix it up...any other tips... what else can I do? I'm a bit confused because won't the courses be updated for January 2015?? So I how else can I prepare for applying come september time?? Any advice would be much appreciated
Thanks in advance
