being promised sth and then being ignored

i hate it when some ppl do everything possible to appear decent and kind, showing themselves ready to give a helping hand.

but when it comes to actually doing it don't even talk 2 u; or even do as if they don't know you.

i know i can't accuse anyone for not helping; helping is a voluntary act;
yet, not keeping an implicit promise can be irritating, since u hope and hope and hope but they never get back to you.

if u are one of them, pls explain why u would give sb the impression that you're trying to help, but then don't do it!

That made absolutely no sense to me

i suppose the idea of helping someone is more appealing than the act. personally the guilt eats me from inside until i actually do something to help. but thats the only excuse i can think of.

Don't worry about missing out on the sth you were promised. Sth is totally overrated anyway.
