WJEC Sociology

Did anyone do the WJEC unit 1 exam today? Can you remember the section B family question - just want to see if what I put made sense
it was something like "explain why families exist in all societies"

Hiya,

Yeah it was along the lines of 'Why do family's exist in all societies'.
I wrote about how the family is always going to be the main function to prevent societies from crumbling; for example I added a little information about functionalists and how they provide support in ways such as emotional, socialization etc as without these things families would make all societies be in turmoil pretty much because they are like the ground roots for societies order. I spoke a little about post modernists and how the family is still everywhere just in different forms etc to suit society. Uhh and I think I added sexual regulation somewhere because without this families wouldn't exist so they are still apparent due to this regulation etc...if that makes sense?

lol. I doubt you guys remember the other family essay questions on this paper? im sitting it for my year 11 mock :')
