I've voted no, since there's no "it depends" option. All it depends on is your college, other people's results and number of Open Offers given (probably reasonable as it's Maths).

I vote no. Unless you have a damn good reason for missing your grades why should you get in? Im in the same boat and am waiting for my results on thursday. If I dont achieve what they have asked me to I dont deserve to go!

half the people who missed their offers were let in anyway last year. Obviously more will be let in for subjects that don't have open offer schemes, and less for those that do. All that you can do is wait until thursday and if there's a problem, give them a ring.

Could this thread be closed please? This has been re-hashed a billion times, as a simple search would show, and its driving me crazy!

I third it. I know it's painful waiting for your results, but everyone of us who is at Oxford went through the same situation and we didn't get people to vote whether we'd get in or not of we missed our grades.

Instead if worrying about it (there's nothing you can do after all), just make sure you have the numbers for your admission tutor (both Oxford and your insurance) in your phone (and maybe clearing number too) and make sure you're prepared incase the worse happens. Otherwise, just go and enjoy your holidays as you'll end up working bloody hard when you get here!

For maths, very likely no because they have several open offer candidates waiting for colleges.
