Is this some very clever euphemism for what is happening on the UKL forums at the moment?

deceit is required for order. Order brings peace. Peace=good.

We are indeed blind ants, inherently morally corrupt individuals that seek guidance from those born to lead.

God Save our Moderators!

It's more to do with individual restraint. If you was to stop censoring right now, no big deal to me. But some may decide to be dangerous with it. I imagine a less orderly place without censorship, they must be doing something right.

I think it does. The US is the most censored country in the West. I have never seen history taught in such a politisized and frankly downright fraudulent way as in the US. However, for all that the US remains amongst the most politicaly stable countries un the world.

Whether the two, stability and cencorship, can be linked as directly (and as childishly) as that I don't know. I merely advance an example.

Freedom is slavery IIRC from GCSE English.
Thankyou piginapoke. My rusty old brain! As for you, you seem to become more learned by the day! I notice you've done some spectacularly good posts recently. Splendid!

Even if this were true, would it be a good thing?
Perhaps governments which want order impose censorship after they have imposed order.
Perhaps orderly counties impose censorship both deliberately and unconsciously. Because there is order in society and the state, which means pretty well everyone agrees anyway, people cannot think in ways which would need censoring.

I don't quite follow but surely "order" is a good thing for society isn't it? Generally anyway?
