Hey guys,

Im going in for supplier and I have my interview next week, they said in the interview they will be asking a lot about NATO. Can someone who has had an interview recently tell me how much they will need to know? Or key points. Cheers

Going to assume this is the first interview? If so, it's relatively basic stuff that they ask.

NATO = North Atlantic Treaty Organisation, found 4th April 1949.

Current head of NATO = Anders Fogh Rasmussen, former Danish Prime Minister.

Know some of the founding member countries and the two latest. Founders = USA, Canada, UK, Denmark (These are easiest to remember and will suffice.) Two latest are Croatia and Albania.

What is one of the main purposes of NATO? An attack against one member state should be consider attack against all member states.

Current amount of members? 28 or so if I remember right.

You might know all of this already but if not these are the main things you will be asked, good luck.

An interview for a ground trade/airman entry will not go into depth about NATO. Most they will ask is when it was formed, why it was formed, how many member countries, and current NATO operations that the RAF are involved in.

They will focus a lot on your chosen trade (supplier) so will be asking you all about your training, what the role of a supplier is, what responsibilities you will have etc.

If you do your homework on all of your training, the RAF as a whole, your trade and training, you'll be fine. Make sure you know where the RAF are in the UK (main bases) and where they are abroad and why they're there.

Good luck.
