Hi basically I'm in a sticky situation, I wish to be a Mental Health nurse as my passion is in helping people, and I love psychology so it went well, but today after researching I noticed the pay is in band 5 of the nHS http://www.nhscareers.nhs.uk/working...nge-pay-rates/ whicch starts at £21,000 and ends at £27,000 is this a good pay, i mean with tax wouldn't it be substantially less. I'm from wales if that help answers. Please answer even If you have no clue about this career, Is the pay okay to get a decent car, flat, and clothes etc

Well some people manage to live on 12k or less. It's not amazing pay but I think you get extra enhancements for working holidays, unsocial hours etc. People don't do nursing for money tbh, it's a vocation. I think they should def be paid a bit more
