anti trust law is known as competition law in the UK. I think it's only Americans who use the term 'anti trust law'. The name comes from limiting corporations' ability to create trusts with each others and forming cartels and monopolies.

Competition law looks at the law relating to monopolies, cartels, oligopolies as well as what constitutes abusive behaviour etc.
