This was a past paper question - I was wondering how you would go about answering it?

‘There are recurring dilemmas about the nature of executive power within the constitutional arrangements of the UK. Executive power does not appear to formally lie anywhere within the constitutional arrangements yet it is everywhere.’

Heya miles.

I would start off by a
1) brief mention about the 3 arms of govt
2) Montesquieu's 'clear' separation of powers
3) UK's 'not-so-clear' separation of powers
4) UK's unwritten constitution
5) the role of the Executive
6) how the Executive is able to extend its reach to beyond its boundaries

yes. that should be all I guess.
