ever picked up a copy of the daily mail?

I wouldn't consider either of those 'politically correct' publications.

no, but they're generally viewed as quite acceptable by society.

yes, but political correctness is not the same as what is viewed as acceptable society. That is why I used that phrase, because that is what I meant.

ok, I totally disagree with you that they're the only group.

No one really gives a damn if you stick out your front teeth, pretend to be riding a horse and say "jolly good old chap".

No one gives a damn if you call the lower classes dolescum, chavs, leeches, or whatever else.

Think how many comedians belong to the working classes as well.

I seem to remember an entire programme devoted to a chav kicking off about the judgement she received from the middle classes. I have seen no such programmes from middle class people.

Yeah they do, people would call you a toff etc. Calling people a leech or dolescum gets peoples backs up alot. i can't think of any examples in comedy of people saying things like that. Its allways been seen as ok to make fun of the rich but not ok to make fun of the poor.

No, the poor are not made fun of. Uneducated sexually promiscuous teenagers and people who commit benefit fraud are made fun of but not nearly as much as the middle class people are.

I agree that middle class people are often self-depracating and mocked but they compensate for that with their constant victimhood and smugness.

They are victimised! And they deserve to be smug.

Reply 130

You've never called anyone dolescum, or generalised that the working classes comprised solely of chavs, have you ally?

Reply 131

*Sigh*

People hate the middle classes because they're seen as taking up the best jobs by leftys who have no grasp of economics whatsoever.

soon they will realise that wealth is created, and money is not a zero-sum game.

The size of the middle classes generally reflects on the quality of life of the general populace, and I'd rather have everyonr middle class with no working class, as opposed to vice versa.

And btw, I'm very working class. I currently have £150 and this computer to my name, and I've just signed myself up to £21,000 worth of debt over 3 years.

Working class or middle class - no prizes for guessing which of the two you fall into..

The middle class are no more victimised than the working class... it's about time you stop the whole "i'm bullied by the working class because i'm not one of them" routine.

Actually I just meant the 40% tax bracket, the crappy heavily-taxed investment vehicles and the fact that they don't get given sums of money they didn't work for.

And I'm not middle class (yet).

Next time someone tells me seriously that the lower-middle class has all the best jobs I'll eat a hat.

Thing is about the middle class is that we have a good reason to hate the lower class. But not vice versa.

Principally, our money is taken from us by the government and then GIVEN to them and then they spend it on things like Sky tv. Which is no cicrumstances can be a fair state of affairs.

because that's what every single lower class person does with their money.

Never mind the fancy cars, holidays, houses, jobs etc of the upper classes, let's just concentrate on the fact that the cockroaches are daring to crawl out from the darkness into the warm light of sky television. how dare they attempt to introduce some simple pleasure into their lives.

Utter rubbish. You aren't the only ones that give money to those that don't work. Any working class citizen/taxpayer (who earns over a joint income of around £40k is it?) has to give money to them. So unless you are claiming that any family with an income of over £40k is middle class don't get on your high horse claiming that the middle class are targeted by the government.
