Hi does anyone know whether you need to know all topics for the exam as on the Jun 2012 and jan 2013 papers it says: answer one question from section A (Coastal, River, tectonic or glaciated) and one from section B (Water world or wasteful world). All the papers have been out of around 50-55 marks so it would make sense (25 for section A and round about 30-25 for section B) but I just need confirmation. Got English Lit Unit 2 (AQA) and Geography A unit 2 (Edexcel) tomorrow. wish me luck

I'm not sure as on a sample paper front cover our teacher showed us, it says to answer all of section A, but then wouldn't that be impossible since for example our school didn't teach us glaciation?

Yep, you've got it right - answer all of section A and one from section B. Fingers crossed there aren't any more 9 mark questions - that one in the skills paper was dire! Plus, good luck with your English exam as well

The specification changed this year - we answer all of the questions and they've now scrapped glaciation so its just tectonics, coasts and rivers

Also. my exam timetable says the exam's 75 mins long, if there's 4 sections to complete each as normal-25 marks in total then surely 75 mins is too short for a minute a mark unless they've reduced the marks for each question
