I think it was all about Rasputin and that time period last year, so it may be more about War Communism and NEP?

The study of change topic is so long!

How are you supposed to best answer the 7 and 15 mark Qs? It's really not THAT clear how to get all the marks, there isn't a lot of info up about it.

The study of change topic is so long!

How are you supposed to best answer the 7 and 15 mark Qs? It's really not THAT clear how to get all the marks, there isn't a lot of info up about it.
On the first topic, where you get asked to compare two sources for 7 marks, you need to say:

- How they agree/ support
- How they don't support
- How the tone is different (or the same, but it usually isn't)

For the 15 marker on four sources:

- First discuss all sources that support the statement
- Then discuss any sources that are a bit of both- for and against
- Discuss the sources that don't agree

Within this, weave in your own knowledge- for example figures and specific facts and include a link between each paragraph.

On the other topic (without source use): bear in mind i study the middle east so there will be references to specific events in the course

7 marker;

- When it says describe 'two key features' you need to describe any two out of cause, events, or results of the given event
- E.g. for a question on the Suez Crisis, one may describe the causes of the crisis and the afterwards repercussions of the event- cause and result
- Make sure to include a link between the features
- A concluding paragraph should be used to stress the link you put

15 marker;

- Two events will be given, and you have to come up with two more
e.g., you may be asked to talk about the changes in relations between the arab states from 1967-1973. The 'causes of the six day war' and the 'results of the six day war' may be given. You would then also have to discuss two features of another event in that time period- in this case from the Yom Kippur war.
- Again, put a link between each paragraph and have a strong conclusion at the end

I hope that helps!

Literally just a sentence saying out one event/ factor led to another

e.g. 'The six day war led to increased tension between the Arab states and Isreal. The arabs felt as angry at having lost so much land and so wanted revenge'

(it's not very good but hopefully you get the gist)

Try not to talk about the content of the exam until midnight everyone. People internationally are still taking the test and may come to the forum to look at what's on the test.

If we discuss it, grade boundaries go up. So let's keep them low this year, I really want an A!
