I always roll my eyes when someone texts LOL, and I instead like to use haha.

LOL is just too underclass and so 2000s.

I'm surprised people actually would text a person like you.

'Lol' is fine. But 'looooooool' is just annoying!

I find LOL in all caps quite irksome. I know it's an acronym but we're past that now okay lol

I'm fine with it, as I tend to use the term myself. If not for its original meaning, then to make something sound less serious lol.

Lol is fine though I usually use haha or that laughy face emoticon
I'm not a big fan of LOL though, the caps irritates me not sure why

I use lol to soften anything I say to make it sound less harsh than it would read otherwise.

Compare:

"You didn't have to go and ****ing tell them."

"You didn't have to go and ****ing tell them lol"

LOL and lol are acceptable. Lol is horrible, too formal.

It's perfectly normal, although can also be expressed Lol, or lol. More subtle, I think

I don't care as long as they don't use it excessively as needless to say it starts to grate on your nerves after a point.
