    Hey,

I have a number of Politics documents that i wish to categorise in a format so that university students could browse them and quickly locate a document they needed.
The subcategory system i have at present is seen below - can anybody give me any additions/amendments to this?

The category is called Social Studies,

    Political Theories
Liberalism, Conservatism, Socialism, Nationalism, Fascism, Feminism, Environmentalism
    Political Systems
    Autocracy, Democracy, Plutocracy, Oligarchy
    UK Government/Parlimentary Studies
Structure & function of UK Government
    International Politics
    European Union, Commonwealth, Specific country/region
    International Relations
Strategic studies, War & Peace studies

Sounds ok to me. I'd change democracy to Politie though since it seems as if you're using the categories as Aristotle. I'd add:

    - Communism, Parlamentarism, Totalitarism, (Institutionalism)
    - the UN
    - definition of the terms politics, policy, polity and different approaches to Politics in general/ History of Politics as a subject (don't know if this is classed in the Anglo-Saxon area as part of Social Studies)
    - different concepts of democracy with their protagonists (e.g. Rousseau vs. Fraenkel)
    - perhaps add articles on important concepts like power, conflict, government, peace, liberty, equality, participation so that you don't need to search for them in the individual schools of thought.
    - important thinkers

Yeah, it seems to be considered as one in most Politics textbooks and the like. Debatable, though.
