Parent Pressure!!!

Hi People!
Does anyone else feel like their parents have no idea how much work or how hard A Levels actually are?

Because i got good grades in my GCSE's (not that i'm complaining about that!) my parents seem to think that i am going to breeze through with 3 strongs A's at A Level, when, in fact tbh i feel like i've become less intelligent since i left school and started A Levels! Does anyone else feel this way or is it just lil old me? :frown: xxx

I know exactly how you're feeling, and I know that the entire of my family expects this, I'm the first to do A-levels, let alone even think about uni, so I have alot of pressure.

And it gets to me.

But you'll be fine!!

They'll understand.
Actually it's the opposite - my dad keeps on saying how easy A-levels and GCSEs now are (which I'm not going to debate because there are already countless threads on this). Back in the day my dad used to memorise thick textbooks, I don't even think I've read a whole textbook completely! So you can kind of see that I have added pressure
not really, no one in my family went to college.
as for the less intelligent thing: thats what the national curriculum does to people- you'll get used to it.

i think i know what you mean!
I'm the first in my family to complete A-levels and I'll hopefully be the first to go to uni, so there's no pressure on me in the sense that they don't have anyone else to compare me with, but I put pressure on myself because I really want to get into my firm and make them proud. Stupid really because I know they'll still be proud whatever happens, but I can't help worrying :frown:
