# need help with simplify Algebraic fraction

See attached image for question. I can cancel out the n to get the answer the textbook gives but I thought this was wrong, propably im misunderstanding this. Started this section on fractions today and still need a good bit of reading and finding my mistakes.....and they are many....

Yeah, that is wrong, and so is cancelling the m's as you have done (can you see why?).

Instead, factorise the denominator (hint: difference of two squares) and see if you can go on.
