I accepted my offer for Economics at Durham but I think I'm leaning towards changing to Economics and Mathematics. I looked in my Times University Guide to see how good Durham was for Maths as I had no idea and Durham is 3rd behind Oxford and Cambridge! I was under the impression that Maths was one of Durham's weaker subjects but this seems to suggest otherwise. Is this just an anomaly or is Durham's Maths department actually that good?

Not sure about the reputation but I tried to change at durham from economics and politics to maths and they wouldn't let me. economics and maths is a natural sciences degree (I'm sure you know that) and they said that if there was a place on results day and I had AAA they might let me change to that. Just a warning really cause i just assumed I'd be abvle to switch!

I think it's a pretty good reputatiom. Probably top 10. I am, however, a bit biased.
