Now this might sound like a strange question but having had sex with several girls who were not my girlfriends, I never wondered whether I should kiss them and hug them, just as I would with any girl I would be going out with.
Even if I wasn't going out with them, we'd be kissing a lot and often end up in the arms of eachother.
More recently, I've got the impression this has scared the last girl I was with, almost as if she wasn't used to so much affection. Do some people not even bother with much kissing (or at least hugging) when having casual sex?

No to the first question. My post was badly written but my point was that I'm usually almost as affectionate with a casual partner/one night stand than with a girlfriend. Then again, the times I've actually had casual sex, it's always been with girls I felt a connection with and probably would have wanted to go out with.
And Helenia, that's very rude of you to spy on people talking about personal stuff. How did you know it was me?
With what high priestess fjord said, I guess it's more how to behave after the sex that's the issue... I often continue being affectionate even after. If I didn't give a damn about the girl and thought "oh my god, did i just have sex with her?", then maybe I'd want to just get dressed. But most of the time, I behave just as I would with a girlfriend.

) to myself.Completely agree with this! Kissing and hugging makes it quite personal and can really be seen by some as your trying to move away from just having casual sex and into more of an 'exclusive' relationship!
well kissing is defintely a part of sex, surely you kiss a girl youv'e met before you have sex with her!!! I don't know about hugging, but its just a natural progression from kissing i guess. Kissing and Hugging is good!! unless youve signed some kind of very matter of fact penetration only contract, but wheres the fun in that?

I guess my first post didn't make sense because it's not so much the sex that matters. I'm assuming that most people kiss during casual sex anyway and hugging someone while you're on top of them or they're on top of you, is a bit unavoidable, although it's not necessarily done in a "cute hug" kind of way. But then again, you don't have to do any kissing during actual sex... (someone made the comparison with pretty woman where Julia Roberts' character doesn't want to kiss her clients). I've never had a ****friend but why would you kiss a ****friend?
The real issue was more how you behave around your one night stand, casual partner, before and after sex. You could just run off or maybe turn away and sleep to avoid having to deal with them. But then you could continue being affectionate and kissing...

However, if you think you scared the last girl, maybe you should think about talking about the whole thing and what you can and cant do with each ither before you have casual sex again.
Also, i hardly think its casual sex if youre snogging each others' faces off... tahts probably overstepping the casual sex mark.
