I know this sounds ridiculous, and in no way do I want to be rejected on the 17th from my firm and would love to go there. But if you are accepted by your firm [assuming you don't have an insurance], is it possible to tell them that you don't want to go there anymore [as one or two courses on clearing may have caught your attention]? Once again, I know this is absolutely ridiculous and completely hypothetical, but I'd like to know.

You'd have to phone them up and ask them to release you. They don't technically have to do so, but probably would to save any hassle, especially on results day.

I have heard of such cases, but they're far and few between. What emily said is true.
