There is capital punishment in Pakistan right?
I'd hang all 20 of them.
These people use religion as an excuse to manipulate people. In this case it was their own daughter.
I would not blame religion.

To completely absolve religion of this would be as foolish as to completely blame it for what happened.

The significance of a wali, a guardian (usually her father) in charge of a woman whose consent she needs before being essentially handed over to a husband (who then becomes in charge) is not something to be glossed over here. This is one of the greatest problems in Islam when it comes to women and their freedoms.

In b4 muslims justify the killing, then explain why everything but Islam is to blame (especially media and The West).

This is a problem caused by the father not religion.
It was only possible due to religion.
You could say this makes religion a cause.

I don't know if this makes sense but the consent is there to make sure the daughter does not marry a person who will abuse her/not care for her(quite ironic here I know). Instead the father used it to trap her daughter into marrying who he wanted. Religion being a tool here, can be used for good or used wrongly.

Its like a knife(weird relation). Can be used to eat food lol or can be used for murder.

I just don't know how people can do that to someone, let alone their own flesh and blood who was pregnant. Probably won't get much justice either.

Pakistan is a barbaric place and i'm so glad i didn't grow up there.
