dropping a dress size in a month

Hi all I'm off to uni at the end of sept and i'm just looking to try and drop a dress size in the month before i go. i'm a 14 top/16 bottom and its just my bottom half i wanna work on really and get into a 14. I'm going to be limiting cals to 1500 a day and working out at the gym (cardio and weights) 4 times a week (instead of the 2 times a week i already do). Any tips or advice welcome and of course anyone else who wants to take up the challenge!
just eat healthily, remember that if your going to the gym you will be burning more energy and will be more hungry and if your hungry you should eat. dont set a target like like a dress size (which vary anyway). if you want to lose wieght the emphasis should be on being healthy otherwise your wieght will just yoyo.

good luck with your weight loss. i think you should join this beast of a thread: http://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/showthread.php?t=267989

it's very recent and there has been lots of useful discussion and tips already posted on it.

but if you dont then:

eat healthily (dont waste you calories on crappy food)

thinking of the diet as a lifestyle change instead of just a weight loss programme will help you maintain the weight once you reach your goal. that means, eat well once your off the diet and still do some exercise - dont go back to your bad habits or the weight will be back on in no time.

vary your exercise routine from time to time

eat 5-6 small meals a day or have a healthy snack in between meals.

and...as your weight decreases, lower your calorie intake. but of course, dont go below 1,200.
