Planning for Friday

Right, theres this girl from college that ive known for a long time, we briefly speak at college.. Recently she's been texting me alot and basically ive invited her to my house this friday for a few hours. Only problem is my house will only be free before 2pm so gotta see her in this short time. But ive got no idea on what to say or do on the day. Does anyone have ideas on what we can do at home -were not planning on going out and we can't really watch a movie at 12 mid-day. Cheers
Hmm... do you have anything in particular in common? I mean, when I go to a certain friend's house, we end up listening to silly radio comedy. But we're both geeks. :p: You could do something really silly like creating Lego castles and systematically destroying them with a running commentary, or making random cakes and doing silly icing...

What do you mean, you don't like silliness? :p: me? Childish?
cook lunch? nothing difficult, just something nice. She'll appreciate the effort (hopefully) and you can sit and chat. Chat is good.
Well, back in my day when I went round a guys house we'd have awkward conversation, then he'd try to impress me by playing the Charlatans on his guitar. I want to be a teenager again.

just relax, be yourself, chat, put a little music on and have a laugh. the more you relax the better it'll be - don't be pushy about anything and just let the time flow. be cooooooooooooool. good luck!

Right, the first idea i got was just cheesy lol, i wouldnt even try that. About the cooking one basically its only me and my dad in house at the moment and rest of family is on holiday so we basically have no food in the house and living of take aways everyday so theres a big no no there. I don't to be just sitting there on the sofa, everyone knows about arkward silences you get lol.

I like the way you think! I was doing pretty much the same thing the other day with a friend, except rather than a systematic destruction, it was a cheesy action movie rip off that we voiced over and acted out within the aforementioned castle.

Music is always a good ice breaker- if you have digital or sky put on the music channels in the background and comment on a band you like/ dont like. that ought to get the convo going and thats what shes coming round for- to chat to you and to get to know you better.
maybe you could possibly have a few backup subjects to talk about or questions to ask.
as fo awkward ilences, whenever i get them i just make a joke like -"oh here comes the awkward silence" that usually leads to both people laughing and relaxing a bit
